Seeking help for a Bulbophyllum falcatum! The bulb on the left started turning yellow and dropping leaves, and I'm worried the rest of the plant will go the same way. Any ideas as to what might be wrong?

I don’t know a ton about bulbophyllums specifically- but they have very similar structures to cattleyas etc. as far as their rhizomes, and pseudobulb growth. Based strictly on my experience with those types, I would guess that if that bulb is starting to yellow and particularly if it’s starting to get mushy or soft, it should be removed before the infection travels to the rest of the plant. My suggestion would be to unpot it completely so you have a better idea of what is going on, being able to see all the structures clearly. If it’s coming from the roots of this particular pseudobulb and moving up, you may be able to just cut away that portion of the orchid. If you aren’t seeing any movement of the rot, that should fix your situation. If you see signs that it has progressed to the next pseudobulb, you might wanna get rid of it as well, to stop the spread.
