My first orchid I got for Valentine’s Day. I named her Olive. I’m a beginner so I’m here to learn for sure. Any advice is welcome for me. I finally just got the chance to re-pot and re-soil her.

    i would repot her with orchid bark! Orchids don't like actual soil, & they instead prefer bark, perlite, & wood clippings!

      You should repot into an orchid specific potting mixture now- chunky orchid bark and sphagnum moss mixes are pretty standard. If you don’t, the roots will suffocate and rot in soil.

    How often do you have to resoil them?

      Never soil- and with good quality medium, I tend to repot every 3 years as long as the roots are in good shape and the orchid hasn’t outgrown its pot.
