I acquired this baby orchid in August of 2025. It took some trial and error but I think I found the right watering schedule. And now I have new growth! At first I thought it was a new flower stem, but now I think it’s a new “plant” from one of the original nodes. Should I go ahead and cut it and move it to its own pot? Any advice is appreciated! Many thanks in advance!
Leave for awhile and then see.

1 likeYep that's a keiki. When it has 2-3 roots that are 2-3 inches long, you can remove it and give it its own pot. Especially young orchids like somewhat higher humidity, so you can start with more sphagnum and gradually change it to your usual bark mix with each repot as it grows

It’s 3 leaves, 3 roots and 3 inches is what I’ve been told.
