I found this watering today. It wasn’t there last week. It’s hard to tell the upper (left) from the underside (right). Does anyone know what it is? Much thanks for your reply. This is kinda creepy and I have never had an orchid before. I might try to get a book. Any suggestions? I’m sure there are a bunch!

    Big one: fungal or a burn. Small one: hard scale or physical damage. You should be fine since you cut them off, but watch for any new scale-like dots and for any signs of fungus
