just got this yesterday!!! i have a few questions abt humidity tho it says to water every 5-7 days. in the meantime, do i spray water to increase humidity? or do i only do that when i water it? any tips are very appreciated :)

Hi all! I had a beautiful baby years plant that all of a sudden died! It was almost like it slowly died from roots to the leaves out. It was constantly watered! Never turned yellow or showed signs of that. Anyone else have this happen before? Before and after shown. 6 week span, plan is gone.

I know this isn’t a terrarium buddy, but I’ve been propagating this pothos from my betta tank for about 3 months now and the leaves are getting so big!! I’m thinking of letting it grow up the side of my closet door. Also, the cute little water droplet on the end of its leaf is SO ADORABLE I had to share.

Hi all! It’s awesome to see a page dedicated to terrariums! I have a terrarium currently with dairy cow isos, springtails, dubias and the king himself bert(MBK). I have to use a grow light due to location and am confused on the term half sun, I know it terms to 4 hours of direct sunlight. I have two grow lights a dual t4 fixture with 6500k lights and one singular 6000k grow light. Below I have the t4 fixture on to show what I’m working with. I have a few different plants inside: red nerve plant, mother of thousands, inch plant, baby tears, polkadot plant reg and scarlet, prayer plant, krauss moss, and thriving idk moss! I want to ask for recommendations on timing/lighting use. Should I use only one of the fixtures, and if so which one? Thank you in advance and look forward what you have to share!

Just finished this for a new retrocalla. Now I’m questioning if I mounted it backwards? This is the direction it was when they sent it to me though.

I’m looking for some recommendations for terrarium plants. I have a small glass with a suction like lid (shown in the picture) I was hoping to turn into a terrarium but it is about 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) tall and 1 inch (2.54 cm) wide at the top. I would also like to know the needed care for the plants if possible so I can see which ones would be happy together. Thank you!! :)

Have any of you used predatory mites to control fungus gnats in your terrariums? I’m at the point where I can’t have any terrariums because they immediately get infested. 😞 Which is a problem for my plants that require consistently moist soil. I’ve used neem oil and hydrogen peroxide solutions in the past, but the gnats always come back. I hate them so. Death to fungus gnats.

Went to a terrarium workshop last night and it was so fun! Now that I’ve been walked through the steps, I feel more confident that I could make them at home on my own. So fun!!!

Any suggestions on plants to go in the demijohn? I’m taking the autograph tree out and would love to start a terrarium in it but I don’t think I’ll have success with any of the plants I see listed online. I know its size will make it hard but any suggestions are appreciated! 🫶
