Okay I need help! I have been wanting to make my own terrarium for a while now. I’ve done a lot of research but everyone makes it different. Also I’ve search all my local plant store for supplies and can’t find any. Where can I buy all the essentials? What plants work best in them? Where can I buy them plants and moss? Please help!!!
Depending what type of terrarium you want, I've bought several from Etsy, along with mosses (just make sure they are LIVE, and not preserved). Sand and charcoal and gravel I've gotten from pet stores, Etsy, ebay, Amazon. Look for places that sell pet insects and 'clean up crews' like isopods and springtails, they're great additions to terrarium, but they usually sell leaf litter and bark and decorative pods and such too. Defiant Forest is one I really like. Neherp, glass box tropicals and other amphibian and lizard sellers also often have bioactive terrarium supplies.

Well, there are a lot of ways you can do it. I guess I would start with the container, then look for plants of the right size, see if a local plant shop has them, etc. You can get potting soil and stuff either from the outdoors or a hardware store. Then put it all together and after that it will be easier to see if you need anything else.
