what’s wrong with my split rock plant? i got it from a home depot ~2 weeks ago and it was doing fine, but now there’s white spots at the bottom and the leaves(?) feel mushy. i’ve only watered twice since getting it and one was today so i doubt that’s the issue, but could be. the nursery pot has drainage and im not giving much water each time, just until water comes out the drainage holes. any tips appreciated !!!
Overwatering is actually how frequently you water, and not the amount of water, so I suspect it was overwatered and has root rot. These plants usually can go over a month without water, and only need it when the soil is bone dry and they get slightly soft and wrinkly.

yeah if they’re mushy i would have to assume they’re not going to recover. If you care for lithops in the future they need VERY little water. i’d lean on the side of maybe once every few weeks. Also a very well draining soil of sand/small gravel etc works well for keeping the water content low in soil.
좋아요 1개thank you guys for all of the help but while i was gone yesterday my mom accidentally knocked it on the floor and it splattered everywhere and now is definitely not recovering🥲 so time to get a new one i guess
2개 좋아요I got mine at Home Depot too! Try repotting the next one in a succulent mix. It makes it harder to overwater.
Wow! They are beautiful! I also got one at home depot but Id like to get more to fill a pot like yours. Im waiting to see if I can keep one alive 🤣
