Hey yall I use to have about 4-5 of these guys but they all died but one. The app says I need to water him today but he's making a new leaf right now. Do I water him? I don't wanna kill him. Also when can I replant him and what should I do differently with him? He's laying down right now and I don't really like that. Give me some advice about watering and what I can do differently with his living arrangements!! Thank you <3
Hey! He looks like a cool one! I think more sandy type soil with minimal nutritional value, like pure sandy/gritty soil. I think you may have too much bark and stuff that retains water. Think desert-like conditions. Also, don’t water them when they are splitting. I read that this over hydrates the plant and impedes the ability of the new growth to push through. When you do water (once it sheds that outer layer) really water it and then let it dry. Don’t just sprinkle some water on it.
