I got this butt plant with my friend a few months back. Hers has since died, but mine has lived with the help of a watering schedule. It recently grew a new butt, but the old butt is looking wrinkly and is a little squishy. Does it need water or did it get too much water?
From what I know, when they’re splitting and new butts are growing you’re not supposed to water or you risk over watering, the old butt has to get wrinkly and dry up as the new ones sprout from the center

Midori25 is correct. If there is splitting, or new leaves coming from the middle do not water at all. When they (larger outer leaves) get crusty and husk like, then you can water. I’ve never seen them split in this way.
