This started at the end of May and I haven't watered it at all. I feel like it's stuck like this. Is it? It's my first.

    First off, I’ve only ever had one plant and for like maybe 8 months, so definitely double check me. But… If the old leaves are completely dry you could try to carefully pull them off. I had to do that with mine. Then check if the new leaves are firm or if they need water. With mine they didn’t need water right away.

    This happens with mine a lot. I honestly don’t know if it cause by the care I am providing or a common issue. Hopefully more experienced lithops enthusiasts will offer their take. Regardless, if it seems like the new leaves are having trouble emerging, I make a cut in the old leaves where they come together (the base of the V in your photo) only deep enough to gently pull the old leaves clear of the new. I don’t remove the old leaves entirely unless they come away with very little effort.

    I had one do this and it just shriveled up and died. Hopefully, someone else can chime in with some advice. I’m all ears.
