Hi lithops group, I was wondering were you would get one? And if I was to get one what are the basics or tips!

You usually can find them at your local nursery. I’ve never seen them in any big box stores like Home Depot or anything. - they have deep root systems, so shallow pots won’t work. Standard terracotta pots work well. - EXTREMELY well draining soil that doesn’t retain much moisture - only water when they’re showing signs of being thirsty. This could be months. - lots of light They can be finicky and easy to kill, but are a super hands off plant that needs zero maintenance or attention. They took me a bit to get the hang of, but now are some of my favorite plants in my collection.

I haven’t seen any in Home Depot this year, but that’s where I purchased all of mine. My opinion, but I think the supplier realized the demand for Lithops because they went from 4 or 5 to 2 plants per pot. Where I do see them occasionally is boutiques, but still rare. Some on here have ordered from Etsy.

  These are Home Depot. But please note that I am a relentless treasure hunter, and Lithops isn’t the first thing I’ve had to search out :)
