My lithop keeps drying up a day after watering. I do not know if I should water it everytime it dries up because I am worried it will get root rot and I am unsure if I should let it dry up. I am so confusion😢

Dave_opuntiafaceDo you mean the soil dries up or the plant dries up? I suspect your Lithops is getting ready to split, so those leaves are starting to shrink in prep of the next leaves. The “rule” is water them if the top of the leaf gets really wrinkly, which is what I generally do. When in doubt with Lithops, hold off a few days on watering and note whether it’s changing shape or thirsty. Those are kind of ambiguous answers, but these dudes will get really sickly looking to the point where you wonder wtf.

When they start shedding the other leaves, tap the new leaf to make sure it feels firm. If so, don’t water ✌️

A day after I water them the leaves get wrinkled and another day later they get squishy and the top gets wrinkled. I don’t see any signs of growth after the flower had died off.

Here is an example that is a little more wrinkled than yours. These could maybe use a drink, but I’ll wait until the next reminder.
