Ok, I have kind of an odd question. Is $3 for a lithop a good deal or an outrage? I’m looking at some lithops on Etsy, and I must know 😂

    I would say a good deal. I can’t get them for less the $10 at my plant shops.

    My local home improvement had them for $6 but they tend to be the more commonly available types and you have to ID them yourself. Etsy has a wider variety but they tend to be younger and relatively more expensive.

      Not great luck. But I am insistent on creating a pot of different kinds. It’s cute at first. Then someone needs water when others will die at the thought of moisture. The larger plant seem to be better equipped to survive my tender care.

      The need to make cute landscapes is why I have a two-year old golden ball that is barely over an inch tall ha.

    It sounds good to me so long as it’s shipping from the same country you’re in. Probably not an issue with lithops, but I swear whenever I find a deal on a tropical, it ends up the store is on the other side of the world lol. It might be cheaper but it’s not worth it if the plant dies from being stuck in customs for a week

    That is a good deal, but look for ones that aren’t tiny. I guess all mine were three when I got them (last year) and the care has been the regular paranoia and watering schedule - that gets easier. The problems I had were 1) raising some from seed and not being prepared for the babysitting 2) getting some tiny ones and same thing. That’s way too much information, but there you go. It’s a fun strange plant that goes from totally gross to strangely stunning.
