Hi everyone. I’m going to show you what not to do, but in the interest of…science? More just to show something that contributes to my Lithops/mimicry mesembs. I removed too much of a bottom leaf several months ago. This is the nutrients, and you can see this leaf was still packed with them. But really, just look at it. Can you believe that is a plant? It looks like green sashimi or gummi candy.

2 Me gusta I can see that. Really, this was way too much leaf to remove, and I don’t touch them now. The 2022 Lithops batch all gave me one free pass (this biz, a couple repotting incidents), and I’ve taken a few leaps of intuition out onto the invisible bridge because of it. Feels okay for now.

The inside reminds me of lychee and the callous reminds me of cut taro root 😆
