When should I water my lithops? The app tells me to do it like every two weeks but the internet has told me to do it once a month or once every other month. I have been doing mine every other month and it looks alright. What are your thoughts?
Water it when the top starts to look wrinkly and a little shrunken. 2 weeks is a lot and the app recommends more watering than the plant needs in my opinion :)
1 mi piaceI agree with Caroline! These plants can go an extreeeemly long time without water depending on what phase its in. Like a month+. My signs that all must be present are: - soil 100% - top slightly wrinkled - starting to sink into soil - slightly soft when gently squeezed I never water when they are actively splitting as the new leaves are absorbing moisture from the old ones. If you are still unsure, and you think it needs water, you can always add a VERY tiny amount to the soil at the base of the plant. Literally like 5-6 drops of water. Then wait a day and if you see minor improvements then you know it needs water. If you don’t, then definitely don’t add more.

also make sure to water your lithops little to none in the winter, so they can flower in the the springtime
