Hi! Very new to plants and I just got this big and beautiful arrowhead. I need to repot and select a more permanent spot in my house. Any potting tips? Placement/location tips? Also wondering about the big stem off to the side…should that be cut or maybe anchored to something to stand it up? All advice welcome!!
You should wait a coupe weeks before you repot it so that it can acclimate to your home

These are soooo easy to care for. I have one that absolutely EXPLODES with growth constantly! I’d wait a few weeks to repot. Mine does best in a west or east facing window

The stem off to the side is looking for something to climb onto. When I’m not ready to install a trellis, I just cut those stems off. You can let it trail. Climb or trail is up to you.

Be sure to use a chunky soil mix for everything. That’s what I do now because in the beginning, things were dying from staying wet too long. It was suggested on YouTube videos to use 50% potting soil and 50% a mixture of per light and orchid bark, which is what I do one. I have two different arrowhead plants and they have both just grown like crazy without too much trouble. like I said, I overwatered in the beginning so everybody has a moisture indicator stick, which is helpful. When it turns white, I always stick my finger to double check. And everybody takes turns at the window and going under grow lights. These arrowheads don’t seem to care if they’re under a grow light or in the window…they do well!
Mine seems to be doing really well in a wet humid place. If you don’t have frogs, than I would suggest the bathroom
