Syngonium parents, help! Is it normal for syngoniums to drop old leaves? The bottom leaf in this pic is like the third singular old leaf to begin turning yellow. The last two turned yellow-orange, dried out, and I plucked them off once they were crispy. It seems to keep happening one at a time to older/bottom leaves. Is this normal? What am I doing wrong? That has happened to me too. I have had less of it happen since I scaled back in watering, but she still has two or three small drooping leaves. I haven’t figured out if that is normal yet. Would love to hear someone’s thoughts as well!

Syngoniums can get huge and a few lost leaves is normal, could be a water issue, could be not enough light, is it next to an a/c vent, the do not like drafts. When was it last repotted? Is it rootbound?
좋아요 1개 I havent repotted it since I got it from the nursery two months ago, and I do see theres a thick root growing out from the bottom of the pot. Could this be it? (It’s close to a west facing window and gets lots of afternoon light, and not in front of any vents) Thanks so much for your comment
