I have not yet kept a Syngonium alive but I’m trying again. I got a small one at a box store, put it in chunky soil, did a pest treatment, and tied it to a chopstick to help it climb. The air is ~40%+ humidity & it’s getting gentle direct light. I just ended its isolation after ~5 days. BUT I fear my problem is that I can’t stand crispy, discolored leaves. I will cut them. Is that going to kill my plant 😅 I promise I clean my scissors often

    If it’s crispy & discolored, wait until it’s droopy and if you gently tug them they’ll come right off. Clean your shears with rubbing alcohol and snip if you like, but just tugging them off is a cleaner look.

      Ps— you’re going to want higher humidity if you can… aim for over 50%
