Anyone know how to stop my syngonium from having these giant ‘bends’? It really makes all the leaves tangled and points them all in strange directions!

    It looks like it’s reaching for light.

      Ahhh, I hadn’t thought about that! Would you suggest I just cut off those parts and give the plant more light so it grows new leaves more normally?

    Yep, needs more light for sure. Mine did the exact same thing until I gave it more light.

    I cut back a lot of mine, but not all of it-- I left a few leaves because I wasn't confident it would survive with no leaves. Once it had new leaves with shorter petioles, I cut the remaining long leaves off.

      I just wanted to come back and say thank you for your advice - trimming it slowly and adding more light absolutely did the trick! Plant seems really happy and I no longer have leaves growing all over the place looking for light!

    Sorry for the late reply. I would not cut back the leaves just yet. Provide it with better light or a good full spectrum grow light. Let new leaves begin to emerge before cutting off the old ones. The plant needs the old leaves to generate photosynthesis/energy to create new growth.
