OMG… I think I’ve about given up. A whole piece of this just dropped off my syngonium, so got it out of the pot and all the roots fell away except one root attached to this leaf. Send prayers to my wee syngonium for recovery ❤️‍🩹

    I would water propagate until you’ve got some strong roots then transplant. And adding some cinnamon and then a layer of rooting powder should help ward off the rot and the root hormone will accelerate the root growth I know it’s hard to keep the powders on the stem when it’s in water, but if you wet the end first, then do a layer of cinnamon a pretty thick layer than let that dry then spritz with water again enough to get a layer of root hormone on it then let it completely dry so it’s more like a paste and just carefully put it in water. make sure you put the water in whatever you’re using first then place the cutting that way you don’t rinse off everything by putting the water in last, I propagated a couple varieties of syngoniums and some were in super bad shape and this method has never let me down.       Thank you! I have to get a clear vase/jar but then going to try water. Will go hunting for rooting powder as well - my local houseplant place should have it :)
