I live in Michigan and have a rose bush that was planted before I moved into my house. It does well as do most rose bushes in mid-Michigan do. But Planta is telling me that I need to uproot it and bring it inside because our winters are too cold. I have noticed Planta says similar things for some other perennials that clearly thrive in Michigan’s climate. Am I doing something wrong with the outdoor/in-ground planted plants that cause these alerts? Or is Planta wrong? Or are these plants just anomalies? Thanks!

Need help on my hydrangeas! - Location: west facing yard - Potting: in ground since last week. - Issues: Petals are looking really wilty. The leaves are brown on the edge too. Some white spots on the leaves. - App ai diagnostics: fungus. (Is that right? What should I do then?) - Location details: It is located next to the compost bin and when I first brought it home, the nursery pot was next to a previous moldy bucket for a weekend (the bucket was socking in soapy water but I’m not sure if there were still some mold spreading?)

My first hydrangeas! My husband bought them for me for Mother’s Day. They were looking a little rough at the beginning but now they are so happy as am I!! I can’t wait to see how big they get 🥰🥰

I love how the outdoor landscape changes from year to year and season to season. This year I vowed to only propagate or grow from seed. This weekend I planted my seedlings into bigger pots and admired by Spring growth!

After noticing how the accidental cross-pollination of two cv. of ipomoea created variation in the flowers that later bloomed further along the same vine, I tried crossing Heavenly Blues with Mini Blue Star, with amazing results!! Super easy, so much fun.
