this is one of my favorite cacti ever… she blooms relentlessly and repeatedly from late spring to early autumn before going dormant. 4 years and she’s still the flowering powerhouse she has been since the day I got her. just… one of the best things to get distracted by on ANY DAY 🫠🫠🫠 First picture is most recent from today… then her coming out of dormancy, some more mid bloom, and one bloomed… I’m gonna have to keep an eye on her and catch her at full bloom again… usually they do not completely open unless conditions are perfect so it’s extra special… & unfortunately the one pic I have is just not cutting it… hope you enjoy— I’ll post full bloom as soon as I can!

    I have a few cacti and I could never get them to bloom!! What is your secret??

      I ignore this one severely. Admire the blooms. Stay strict on watering schedule because the soil mix I have it in is grittier than what I use for normal cacti/succulent. Lots of pumice/charcoal/hefty perlite and then nutirient dense castings and a smidge of soil and sprinkle of orchid bark… and to be honest some old dusty/sandy soil i reused. It goes near completely dormant in the winter. I think I water maybe once over the winter!
