Plant newbie with some questions about my bromeliad. The flower in my bromeliad is papery and brittle. Is the flower dead? Am I supposed to remove the flower if it wilts or dies like I would for some other flowering plants? Also, what could cause my bromeliad’s leaves to curl? Thanks for any advice!

    I don’t know a lot about bromeliads, but from what I see of the ones we carry at work the flowers are just papery. They tend to start turning brown when they die.
