I’ve seen posts with others curious when their root system was healthy enough for soil.. this my friends is an example. She’s been propagating for a good 6-8 weeks, so yes it does take time. I think I’ll keep her in water indefinitely 🥰

Hi there! I am new to propagating & trying to get this umbrella tree plant clipping that my mom gave me to root. I have had it in the water in my windowsill for 4 weeks now & nothing has happened. Any recommendations? Thanks 😊
Does anyone know what this plant is called? It’s my boyfriends🙄 and I was thinking of trying to propagate it and give it a second chance at life lol. Please let me know!
New to propagating. I have thanksgiving cactus cuttings and jade plant branches. I’m letting them callous right now, but is it better to propagate them in water or soil? Does it matter? It seems like everyone online has different opinions. I’m just looking for the best way to keep them alive.
How long does it usually take for pothos cuttings to root in water?
I found fallen stems of an elephants bush plant in IKEA and decided to take them home to propagate. This is her root grow after a month 😁
A bouquet of roses I had died, and I noticed it began growing new little leaves. I cut off the dried up roses and left it just as is. I’m continuing to water it occasionally, but I’m a bit lost in what to do exactly. How can I keep him alive?
My syngonium aurea cutting is ready for a pot. I bought it about 6 weeks ago. It dropped one leaf and added 2 new ones. I’m very happy with the root growth. These plants are not cheap. So, I left it in water longer than usual to build more roots. I added SuperThrive plant vitamins with each water change. 🥰🪴
Can a Monsterra be propagated without a node/root/arial? I have a piece in water with and elbow and new leaf emerging but it was broken off of the main plant.
What should I do with these? I’m having bad luck with the Mama ❤️ plant. These were on the ends really small not sure if I should try to propagate or put them in the compost.
Just wanted to show my current propagations and my latest haul, I’ve discovered Etsy propagation mystery boxes and it’s been so fun!
After well over 2 months, I was a little worried bc my watermelon peperomia prop was root bound, but hadn’t produced new shoots. Turns out the baby shoots had gotten trapped under all the roots 🤦♀️. 3rd pic is of the shoots after repotting
Could my plant get rust fungus if I use these shears with a bit of rust of them. I would spray it with hydrogen peroxide beforehand to sterilise them but I don’t want to risk my plant getting rust fungus. If you can please let me know what I should do and if it’s okay to use
Bought a mystery prop container and after ~2 months I just moved them all into their own container since they had big enough roots. I’m curious if anyone can identify the plants here so I make sure they get the right light & water. If not, should I consider putting them in bags/covering them to continue creating a humid environment?
first time propagating succulents! if anyone has any tips and tricks please let me know they would be much appreciated!
Hoping to propagate this monstera plant but I’m a total beginner so hoping for some advice. The leaves seem healthy enough? And it has lived forever! (Grown from a propagation that was gifted to me at least 3 years ago). I just don’t know where to cut and how many spots should be cut to keep this one healthy (seems like there may be more than one spot that needs propagating?) if anybody has any useful links I can use to help me with this even, that would be awesome. TIA!
My succulent propagations have had no change. They have been under a grow light getting about 60ppfd for 3 weeks. I haven’t watered the soil or used rotting hormone of them. This is my first time propagating succulents as I am more into tropical plants. Can anyone give me any tips. Are they maybe not at the correct angle against the soil?
How do I get rid of the brown stuff at the bottom of this test tube. I’ve been changing out the water every 1-2 weeks but there is still this brown stuff, that I don’t know what it is. The root of this Cebu blue cutting is also not white/ pale. Does anyone know the reason for this. Cheers
2 spider plants taken from a patch of spider plants by the grass in my complex! 🌿🩷 Added to the propagation shelf
My little San Marino props just passed 3 months!
