Okay iâve been working with this one for about a year-
propagated from cuttings:
she used to be thriving, but a couple months ago my cat tore off the new growthđ (hence why she is in a hanging planter now)
itâs looked like this for months with no new growth, any advice?

When repotting what I believe is a Chinese Evergreen (pictured), I noticed this guy. It hasnât grown leaves or anything in months & when I dug it out, noticed itâs not really growing roots either. Is there something I can do to rescue it or propagate using this piece? Or should I just toss?

Hello, Iâm new to taking care of plants and I just got catnip plants from the nursery, they look a little rough because they were in a box for a few days during shipping.
I originally got them to disuade pests in the apartment from coming to my unit, but I also have a cat and limited window space so I can see us needing more in the future. Since money is tight and I donât want to keep buying new plants, I want to propagate them when theyâre healthier. Does anyone have any tips for a beginner for propagating catnip? Blog posts made it seem relatively simple, but I would love to hear more opinions and experiences

I seem to have a bonus baby in my caladium âHilo Beautyâ. Itâs not near any alocasia. All Hilo leaves come out with the pattern. Anyone know what it could be?

Hi! Iâm looking for information and advice. I recently received five rooted inch plants (T. zebrina) in the mail. I planted them separately to test different locations to see which conditions in which this plant performs best. This is my only one located outside. Her stem had grown to include two new nodes (the fastest growth along with one other location). She is the most advanced in putting out what I think are new stems and the only one putting out what I think are roots. She has a stick-looking spider friend that blends in well with her furthest inter-node space. Is she putting out roots because she isnât getting enough water? Sheâs in a pot without drainage (I know how terrible that is now đ€Šđ»ââïž) so Iâm being very careful with her watering. My ultimate goal is to drill some holes in the bottoms of her container (it has a little mesh in the bottom for water to drain into and a layer of rocks at the bottom, but I know she would do better with actual drainage and possibility for air flow. Does anyone have any other advice or information?

Hey friends. Iâm a novice propagator and I usually prop in water and move all my props to a generic houseplant soil mix⊠Iâm looking to get a bit more specific with what each plant prefers soil-wise, but I confess itâs a bit overwhelming and I donât really know where to start without buying like 25 different mediums to mix and I donât have the storage space for that. Any guidance and tips would be greatly appreciated! TIA đ

Has anyone ever successfully propagated a pineapple top? My son asked me to try and I found two different suggested methods. The first said slice the top off and let it dry out for a couple of days and then stick it in the soil. We tried that and two days later we spotted a little mold so I dug it up and the entire fruit base was covered in green mold. Several leaves had turned brown and I was ready to pitch it but remembered there was a second way. Because it had already started molding on what was left of fruit Iâm guessing it is a long shot but trying it anyway.
We cut off all the fruit and removed all the dead leaves and cut the dying ends off the remaining leaves. At the base of the between where the leaves where attached we noticed what appeared to be possible root starts so we applied rooting powder and put it in cactus mix.
Like I said, Iâm not super hopeful that we can make this work but if anyone has suggestions Iâd love to hear them. Just thought this would be a fun little experiment.
