Does anyone know how to be sure that a bromeliad will have pups? I recently found out that they die after 2 years and it's almost been that amount of time since I got it. I really want to grow another one. Thanks!

Hello, I have my alocasia corms in this little propagation container, they are beginning to give good growth including roots coming out of the perlite and leaf growth. This is my first time with corms so just wondering what to do from here? I have three other containers that all have 3 corms in them. Should I separate them or leave them how they are for now? Also what do I do when they out grow these containers? Do I put them in the same set up but on a larger scale?
I would like to make this plant fuller. Any suggestions? Can I cut it in half, root it in water and then repot them together, in a new pot? Is there a best time is year to do this? Thank you!
I have now moved the prayer plant after propagating roots. Any tips to make it successful?
If using perlite, what option do you use in Planta for "soil"? Tia
Help! In cleaning off some mites from my Chinese Evergreen Pink Siam this morning, I accidentally broke this entire stem 😩 Is there any hope for propagating it? I’m not sure that I see any nodes on it.
Seeds! My string of hearts has seed pods! I was wondering what this were but now I know! My only question now is what the heck do I even do now? I have never propagated anything successfully and the only thing I’ve grown from seed is vegetables. 1. What do I do with the seeds for now. 2. When do I plant them? 3. Can they be stored? 4. How should I start them? Thanks! I have so many pods that are about to open I don’t even know what to do!🤍🪴
Free pencil cacti from Facebook!!!
👀 so much propagation about to happen
My philo Brasil cutting is strugglinggg. It had some pretty serious root rot while still in water. I added some hydrogen peroxide to hopefully help it bounce back. Any advice??
am SO excited!! My partner ordered me some seeds I've been wanting from Etsy I would LOVE some advice on them, I ordered some: Cotyledon Konekono Tume, Aeonium Saundersii Adodes, Drosanthemum Floribundum Rice and Echeveria Vincent Catto X Elegans. All advice appreciated! Images of plants attached below
I’m so proud! My very first Thyme seeding has sprouted after years of unsuccessful attempts at growing things from seeds. What should I do next to keep it growing? Please help!
Where is the best place to chop this so I can propagate and fill out the pot? It’s a fake Christmas cactus 🌵. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me!
Would it be too early to repot this Zz Raven, or can he wait til the spring you think? I thought he was in dormancy over the winter but my other two (regular and chameleon) both have new growth. I was planning on repotting in the spring but he just popped outta his pot when I was lifting him outta his cover pot to give him a soak.
Hi, do we think this guy needs a bigger pot? He’s been pretty happy since I saved him from Lowe’s, although some of the leaf tips are drying out as you can see so I’m going to move him to a place with partial sunlight. Any other suggestions?
I’m confused!!! I have three weeping willow trees and the thickest TOOK off like crazy it already grew out its old pot. Then I have these two tiny ones, the one is soil isdoing amazing, but the one in water seem to be focusing on its roots more than the leaves.. is this normal?!?
Should I propagate this variegated rubber plant? It’s under a grow light now and will be outside in the summer, but I’m assuming it’s leggy because it was in a lower light area half of winter? Or is this how they look? Never had one before except this baby. If I don’t hold it up or prop it up, the top falls down. 😳
Hi everyone. This is my first time attempting to propagate my Monstera and I think something has already gone wrong. I watched a YouTube video on where to cut the stem, below the node, but now after a few hours the part that’s been cut has turned brown and the water is discoloured. I read that this could mean I didn’t cut it far enough from the node, any advice? The node in the photo was there when I cut it BTW.
My dad has had this cutting for about a year and a half and it is not growing at all. The cutting is sentimental to him and I want to know if there’s any way to make it grow.
