Hiya! I'm propogating some String of Hearts for the first time ever. I didn't have access to spagnum moss so I've made them a little greenhouse out of wet paper towels, a takeaway container and dipped their ends in growth hormones. This is my first time trying the butterfly method. If I keep the wet paper towel moist, do you think I'll have much success?

I’m new to propagating and picked up this guy this weekend. How do I know he’s ready to move up in the world?

Hey everyone I just planted lavender seeds today with the store bought kit after keeping the seed in freezer for 2 days. Any suggestions, comments, ideas, tips that could help.

Can someone share their seed starting setup? I have a station setup where each has 12 cells and the dome has a round light right in the middle. It’s giving me trouble than it did last year. Recommendations on grow stations needed! - my broadleaf sage on the outer edges got leggy because the light wasn’t as strong on the edges. They’re now under grow lights with no dome, but still leggy after trimming. Only 5 of the 8 are still alive. - my itty bitty oregano and thyme now have fuzzy mold (I think) at their base, I’m assuming too much humidity and moisture. At this size I’d think to keep the dome on, but should I go ahead and remove and put under grow lights? (Yes, I’ll be thinning when they’re a bit taller) Any suggestions for next year is greatly appreciated!!

This Monstera was given to me in water. I planted it in soil about a month ago. The roots were very well developed. I can’t tell if there’s a node or if this is a zombie leaf. Thoughts?

Hey! One of my curly spider babies fell off when I was moving her around the other day so I plopped her in fresh water I’ve been changing everyday but I’m wanted to check that she’ll actually grow roots or am I wasting my time??

Wanted to show you my cute plant pot I 3d printed. I just twisted off an offshoot of my monkey tail cactus, dipped in cinnamon and planted. Holding off on watering about a week. Hopefully it will root!

I am trying to propagate this pathos in water. I can’t tell if it’s making progress or possibly rotting. I’ve changed out the water and sprayed the “ roots” with alcohol. Should I let it dry out for putting it back in water?

I just started my first attempt at orchid breeding! Hand pollinating is a bit tricky with the tiny pollen, but it was straightforward on what to do. I crossed these both ways in terms of pollen vs seed parents. The purple one is an average sized phal and the red one is a mini. In about 4 months, I should get seed pods, and then the real challenge begins (If anyone wants orchids like these two, I found both at meijer)
