Hi guys! My polkadot plant is soooo stunning and shes starting to flower which I think is gorgeous but Google suggest pinching off the flowers to keep my plant alive, I donât know how well I trust Google over the communities word soooo.. should I prune my planet to keep it bushy or should I enjoy the flowers a little longer and cut later?? Iâm thinking about propagating it, but Iâve never had a polkadot plant before, any tips?
Is this a node or a root? (Paraiso verde cutting). I didnât know when I cut this that you need a node to propagate. Itâs grown a ton of roots but I just learned about zombie leaves. But this kind of looks like a node, and itâs right under another cutting. Thanks yâall!
What do you do? Conflicting info on jade propagation. Planta is telling me to not allow cuttings in soil to dry out. The internet says to allow them to dry out between watering. Stella says either way they are going on the floor.
I inherited my motherâs shot glass collection when she passed, despite neither of us really drinking and the fact that I collect coffee mugs more often than shot glasses. I have added to her collection here and there in the six and a half years since she died but I wondered what I was going to do with them besides collect and display them. We move often so packing and moving them safely is a labor of love. Then today it dawned on me while I was looking for an unused propagation jar. I have a whole cabinet full of tiny âpropâ glasses that I can use for tiny plant babies and think of my mom while I do it. Sheâd probably be tickled because she loved flowers and gardens but she had a black thumb đ«Ł Todayâs prop is purple basil (and probably could have just been eaten because it was a small chop to encourage a bushier plant instead of leggy-ness) in a Walt Disney World Double Shot.
Sad to have to save babies from root rot. Happy for new experiments and fresh vibes along the way đ±

My Hoya cutting, Gwen, has been in water for maybe 3-3 1/2 weeks now. Is this the expected timing to see what I think is root bumps? (The little white dots)

Has anyone had any success propagating a money tree cutting? Any advice on root growth? I just pruned my overgrown tree tops for the spring and plopped them in water with some Grow Queen Liquid Sea Kelp and a Pothos cutting to hopefully stimulate some roots!
Got gifted a broken off unidentified rose stem and I want to get her in the ground or at least in a tube ASAP. However Iâm out of rooting powder, anyone here have any luck with household rooting powder alternatives? Iâve heard of cinnamon and baking soda but does anyone here have experience or recommendations?
