Propagating my first snake plant! Off to a rocky start but hoping to have more leaves soon! šš
Got a couple new propagation jars at a party this weekend, looked a little crazy grabbing all the empty shots and putting them in my bag but i was on a missionš¤£š¤£š¤£
Any tips on propagating Rex begonia cuttings? How moist should I keep the growing medium and whatās the best temp/ humidity ?
Propagating spoonleaf sundews
I have this propagated parrots beak plant that was given to me the other day. Itās in a little fruit cup with Saran Wrap over it. Am I on the right track with it? Iāve never had a propagated plant before. The end of it isnāt mushy or anything yet but itās looking weird and want to make sure itās normal or not or if I need to change something.
My spider plant is doing great and has lots of babies but Iāve noticed for the last couple months none of the babies are growing roots⦠is that normal? Iāve taken some off to try and have them root on their own in mini pots but they ended up dying :(
I propagated my polka dot plant, but since Iām new Iām curious if this cutting will produce more stems? Or will I just have the one?
Hi guys! My polkadot plant is soooo stunning and shes starting to flower which I think is gorgeous but Google suggest pinching off the flowers to keep my plant alive, I donāt know how well I trust Google over the communities word soooo.. should I prune my planet to keep it bushy or should I enjoy the flowers a little longer and cut later?? Iām thinking about propagating it, but Iāve never had a polkadot plant before, any tips?
Is this a node or a root? (Paraiso verde cutting). I didnāt know when I cut this that you need a node to propagate. Itās grown a ton of roots but I just learned about zombie leaves. But this kind of looks like a node, and itās right under another cutting. Thanks yāall!
What do you do? Conflicting info on jade propagation. Planta is telling me to not allow cuttings in soil to dry out. The internet says to allow them to dry out between watering. Stella says either way they are going on the floor.
I inherited my motherās shot glass collection when she passed, despite neither of us really drinking and the fact that I collect coffee mugs more often than shot glasses. I have added to her collection here and there in the six and a half years since she died but I wondered what I was going to do with them besides collect and display them. We move often so packing and moving them safely is a labor of love. Then today it dawned on me while I was looking for an unused propagation jar. I have a whole cabinet full of tiny āpropā glasses that I can use for tiny plant babies and think of my mom while I do it. Sheād probably be tickled because she loved flowers and gardens but she had a black thumb š«£ Todayās prop is purple basil (and probably could have just been eaten because it was a small chop to encourage a bushier plant instead of leggy-ness) in a Walt Disney World Double Shot.
Sad to have to save babies from root rot. Happy for new experiments and fresh vibes along the way š±
Iāve never propagated before but I only have one healthy leaf left on my once thriving plantā¦how would I propagate and save this species in my house? Please help!
Got these cute little vases from Hobby Lobby. Recommend for anyone who loves to propagate. š
Will provide updates once thereās progress, but Iāve got the following sown: -pineapple sweet oranges -dragon blood trees -orange cactus pear -saguaro cacti -others that I canāt remember **those succulents are just getting a lil extra light since itās been gloomy outside recently Happy to hear any oneās thoughts, suggestions, recommendations, etc on the above!

My Hoya cutting, Gwen, has been in water for maybe 3-3 1/2 weeks now. Is this the expected timing to see what I think is root bumps? (The little white dots)
