Any ideas how to propagate my baby spider plant
Hi lovelies! So I’m relatively new to propagation and I have been propogating a ZZ plant. Does anyone know at what point I should plant her in some soil? Tysm 🫶
Just got her off Etsy she’s practically mush. Opening her up tomorrow to check for root rot but hoping for the best.
What is the best way to have this piece of jade plant that fell off ?
Hi everyone !!🌱💗 This is my first time ever buying plants and my first time propagating, so I’m very new and learning as I go. I’m currently propagating: • Rare Pink Fury Tradescantia • Rare Pink Tradescantia • Big-leaf Callisia repens Rosato I’ve placed them in small clear jam jars. Most of the leaves are above the water (as you can see in the photo), and the water level only reaches the stems/nodes,not the leaves. I’m based in the UK, so we don’t get much sun here 😅 I’ve read that these plants don’t need direct sunlight, but I just wanted to ask, what’s the best way to make sure they thrive and don’t rot while propagating ?? Any tips or reassurance would mean a lot ,thank you so much! 🤍🌿
About five months ago I chopped and propped my pink princess and black gold philodendrons because they had some really leggy growth from last winter and weren’t producing large leaves anymore and this is the progress. None of the segments had any leaves, just a healthy node, and they’ve been in this makeshift prop-box with sphagnum moss and a ziploc bag. I’ve been slowly opening the bag to get them used to a less humid environment and I want to know when I can put them in soil. Any suggestions?
Opinions and help please. I’m still fairly new to plants and still learning. I see people with Money Tree problems regularly. Yet I have no trouble with this Pachira Stump. One of my best looking plants and I love it. So I’m wondering if I just happen to have a really good specimen and should maybe look into propagating (because I’m sure it’s not me, lol). Of course I have no idea where to begin!
Haworthia cooperi - What’s the best course of action for this guy? Do I cut, propagate, use stakes?
This winter I’m also taking the largest leaf and node off my neon pothos and propagating to create a HUGE one trained up a moss pole to hopefully achieve fenestrations! Stay tuned..
Okay folks I’ve buckled down and spent $10 to start my lifelong dream of starting out and raising my own Burle Marx Flame. I’ve resisted the urge to purchase a $50 beauty many times so I can accomplish this not only for myself but the plant as well. Wish me luck on my journey and I will keep you posted on her journey.
What's the best propagation method? Soil ..moss...perlite...etc
Before and after a trim was well over due 🥹
This is my beautiful geranium. It has a large heavy branch that is falling over. Should I cut that off and try to propagate?
I’ve taken the leap and am propagating my dracaena. The original plant was quite tall, just about 3’, but the bottom half was turning brown and it was rising up the length of the tree. I cut it down to 12”, above the brown section, and removed a few layers of leaves. Now it is sitting in water which I’ll change regularly. I didn’t have propagation media on hand. I’ll let you know how it goes! The right hand photo is the part I removed.
I have a pothos i would like to take some cuttings from and propagate them. My question is.... is it better to root them in water..... or in the soil with root powder?
Hi All! Trying something new this winter- I planted daffodil bulbs in large pots in my garage to prepare them for blooming late winter/early spring and putting them on our deck. I have one that’s waking up already- is this normal? We’re in Colorado at about 6,500 ft for reference. Thanks!
Hello plant friends. I am trying out something i’ve never done before but have been down a deep dive in. I want to start propagating and would love to know everything about it. My first project is to propagate my string of pearls. I cut a few lengths off about 5 inches, i have 8 cuttings that i’m really hoping turn out well. I do only have them in some water but that was a question of mine, should I invest in a solution or something for this process? I’m excited for this. Happy planting!
I’m wanting to prune and propagate my philodendron. I’m only new to plant care so I’m still not sure how to even tell what type of philodendron I have. I think it’s a bipinnatifidum. Any videos and articles leave too many variables to risk my beloved plant by hacking into it while it’s doing so healthy. Does anyone know of what I could do specifically for my exact plant? (See the photos)
Selling these deliciosa well rooted propagations for $35 /each. Would you buy one? Let me know in the comments! Happy Holidays ❤️
Propagated my monstera, 6 stems from the mother plant end of November like last week of November. Seen today edges of leaves going lighter green and I can see its dark green veins...anyone know why? What's happening?
