my chinchilla of 18.5 years passed away so i thought this was a good new use for his water bottle to remember himđ©¶
New to propagatingâŠadvice please My first time trying. I got a clipping from a plant, and placed it in water. I change the water every other day.
Best way to propagate a plumeria. I tried the plastic bag and it hollowed out and rotted đ€·đœââïž
Really like this new method I tried, mulberry cuttings turned out great.
Do my propagations have root rot? I donât know what Iâm doing wrong but they donât seem to be growing roots anymore đ
I donât know if Iâve done this correctly. My philodendron had root rot and there was no saving the roots. So when I went to repot, I just divided the branches (each are about 2 feet long with new leaf growth much smaller than the older leaves), and placed about 4 inches of each in a separate jar of water. I heard if youâre propagating, to use cutting so they donât have to go through so much photosynthesis. But I also heard you could divide the plant if you have healthy roots. Since I donât have roots, should I cut these into pieces instead or will I be able to get roots with propagating long stems? *** I really hate to break it apart with so many healthy leaves.*** Thank you all!!
Trying to propagate my succulent, Iâve been misting every 1-2 days⊠am I doing this right? đ
She started as a leaf on the floor at Home Depot âŠ. Now sheâs a mom to lots of little babies đ
was really scared to chop my ficus but heard it would start to branch out, and after seeing video after video on instagram about it i couldnât resist. very proud of the results so far! the top half is growing roots in water and i will add her to the pot đ
Hiya! Looking to propagate some plants of mine to give as gifts for Christmas this year. Hoping theyâll be âfullâ looking in time if I start now. Going to try Chinese Money plant, ZZ, crotons, a variety of succulents, pothos, etc.. Curious what your guysâ advice are on how to go about each one. Have you had better luck in water? Spagmoss? Soil? My snake plant grew ROOTS in almost 1-2 weeks while Iâve had others take 2+ months. I know itâs quite the variety but I want to do whatâs best for each one so I have success come December. TIA!!!
Hi! Iâd love to get my rubber tree to branch out some more and create a cutting in the process. I have a couple of questions about that. 1. If I cut where indicated in the picture (pink line), is it likely to have my plant creat two branches there? It is not the most dominant branch. Or, should I cut the other, more dominant branch? 2. For the cutting, I was thinking about just sticking it in a jar of water. This seems to work with many other plants (pothos, monstera) but Iâve never done it with a ficus. Online, it seems somewhat split between water vs air layering and curious if anyone has had a good experience with water propagation. Thanks!
I propagated my Variegated Wandering Dude a few weeks ago (maybe 2) and noticed that the area that I cut from is browning and looks weak. Anything I can do?
I started a monstera prop a bit ago and it has plenty of roots now so I could plant it but I kinda want to try just water. Do I literally just keep it in straight water? Any tips are helpful!
I have new growth from my cut jade!!!!
My daughter gave me a few Philodendron Florida cuttings her coworker gifted her. (sheâs intimidated by anything philodendron or monstera lol) No visible roots and the nodes are on the small side⊠Any advice is appreciated đ±đȘŽđ
Iâm trying to propagate some stick cactus. All the cutting had roots up until this week when they all rotted and fell off. They keep putting out new roots, but rotting before they become larger. Any idea what Iâm doing wrong or how to fix this??
Any leaf prop I try to get from my succulent dies but I found these rooted props! Any types on how not to kill them?đ
Some of my water props and planted props âš
