[ BURGUNDY FICUS ELASTICA ] I cut my ficus in the end of June. My goal was to make it grow bushier instead of taller. I cut the top part right under 2 different nodes, let both cuttings callous for 24h and then put them in water until they made roots. Once the roots were about 2" long and started branching out, I stuck the cuttings back in the same pot as the mother plant. New leaves are growing everywhere so it's definitely bushier and the branches from the cuttings got a to y bit longer as well. My questions are : - The new leaves have been growing very slowly compared to when other leaves grew before cutting it and they are smaller as well. - Should I repot all 3 stems (mother + 2 new ones) into a bigger pot ? - What type of light have your ficus elasticas been thriving in ? Because I'm confused from everything I've been reading on the internet and on the app. All your tips to help me achieve my goal are welcome.

First attempt at propagating, waited a month to check and couldn’t wait any longer. On the right is a Persian Lime cutting from a new plant I got at the store and the left is a cutting from a neighbor’s peach tree branch that broke off during a storm.

I’ve propagated a few leaves from my sick Pothos and this is 11 days of root growth. How much longer should I keep them in here?

So this little plant is confusing me. I cleaned the roots and stem because the roots are brown, and yet they’re growing little white roots on the sides? I’ve had this plantling since July 2nd (my birthday) and it hasn’t grown another leaf yet. I think it keeps TRYING to grow another leaf but it keeps rotting at the top and trying again. I’m just not sure, I’ve never propagated before.

I’ve had some begonia nodes in moss for about 6 weeks, finally sprouting but no sign of roots. How much longer should I wait before putting them in soil?

Does anyone have any tips on making your own root growth hormone? I’ve seen a lot of different tips online, but I’d love to hear what has and hasn’t worked for you all. Specifically, I’m working on propagating my jade plant from stem cuttings. Feel free to turn this into a thread sharing your favorite propagation tips too. TIA!

Please help!! I got this miniature rose in a little terracotta pot in late June and replanted her in July. She has been going downhill since the second week of having her— even before replanting!! What am I doing wrong? I water her every time her soil is dry.

Hey guys! I’d like to take some clippings of this plant and propagate them, so she can be fuller, but I’m a little worried about hurting the current growth. Any suggestions on best places to cut and best ways to propagate? I’m also tempted to combine her with a golden pothos in a bigger pot, are there any tips on doing that without killing/hurting her?

I just transferred my monstera from perlite to leca and within 2 weeks it rotted!! They were all healthy white roots in the perlite. What could have happened :(

A couple of weeks ago I inquired if anyone had had any luck propagating pineapple from the top of a grocery store pineapple. I had cleaned one up, used rooting powder and popped it in soil but honestly wasn’t holding my breath. This morning I checked on it and lo and behold we have new growth coming in! The good and bad of this little experiment is that I am going to have to clean out my garage to make room for numerous outdoor plants that are currently thriving but have to overwinter somewhere they won’t freeze. I’ve got outdoor succulent pots, and hibiscus plants as well.

Anyone have experience propagating crotons? I have a gold dust. Will it do better if I put a pothos clipping with it?

This is tillia my newest edition! I’m wondering if there’s anything that I need to do other than change the water once a week? And are all of her nodes supposed to be in water? Any advice for the newbie to propagating would be helpful! Thanks!
