Planty Things

Got this nanouk from the grocery store a couple of months ago. I chopped and propped as it grew leggy and it’s filling up so nicely! Don’t be scared to experiment! Sometimes the pay off is great.

My string of bananas was accidentally watered from the top and now it’s all brown and dying. I was told to trim the green parts off and propagate it. How long do you let the roots get before putting in soil for successful planting?

hey y’all! so my pothos wasn’t doing very well in soil so I took her out, cleaned her up and now she’s thriving in water. my question is: should I just leave her in water or put her back in soil? if soil, when? and why are the roots she put out fuzzy? is that some kind of rot? I know I have lots of questions, but please help! 😅

My sister gave me a stem cutting of a Prince of Orange Philodendron. Any advice on how to root the cutting? Am I doing it right by putting it in water?

I’m propagating a mini monstera. While I was changing its water, I noticed the root it began to grow rotted and came off. The node look healthy now, but will it still propagate? I put it back in water.

Soooo I plant-napped two pieces of sweet potato vine today, about 10-12 inches in length. What’s the best way to get them going?

Does anyone know what kind of plant this is? I found a leaf with a little stem on the ground and wanted to try and grow it

Any ideas why my apricot tree is not producing fruit it’s about 7 years old?

So I bought avocados to try propagating a seed and when I open this first one up this dude is already split with a root coming out (I washed it and cleaned it up before the pic). Has anyone else every seen this and do I just stick the root in some water or should I go straight to planting it?

Two questions for a newbie. Does anyone know what this is. I got this cutting from a lady on Facebook. She didn't know what kind of begonia it is, just that is has pink flowers. The app keeps saying Polka dot begonia. But it is a big cutting and there are no polka dots. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also there are 3 or 4 separate stems with roots. I was going keep them in water longer so they can get more roots but can each one be planted separately as a plant or should I plant them all of them together? Thank you!!!

Plant Mom

Hello! I’m a new plant mom. I currently have a Satin Pontho with a bunch of new growth and a couple of little nodes that have just started coming in. However, since I am new to this, i’m not quite sure what to do with the nodes and how to propagate. Any help is appreciated 😭🩷
