This is my patio Desert Rose. Her top is getting top heavy and wobbly. Is it normal to prune a Desert Rose by chopping its top, and can I propagate it? She’s pictured below, drinking from the tub right now.
Started my prop wall not too long ago it’s time to change the water but ignore that it’s calendared for tomorrow lol. These are heart plants, what other plant should I add that grows well in only water?
tips on how to prop an umbrella tree. trying to help save my friends plant 🥺 this picture was from 2 weeks ago, currently all the leaves have fallen off.
Is she ready for to be potted?
Two questions: what is she? And is she ready to be potted in soil?
Hi everyone! I’m new to plants and someone is giving me a clipping from a string of hearts. What is the best way to get it rooted? TIA!
I repotted a Hoya Parasitica Splash from sphagnum moss to a home blended mix. The moss had soured with a few rotting roots that gave off a swampy rancid mud smell. It too a little effort with tweezers to remove the rot and all the moss. I don’t precisely measure each ingredient. I aim to get a mix that drains very well. I tend to use smaller size particles for small rooted cuttings. This combination contains coco coir, pumice left over from repotting cacti, worm castings, perlite, and orchid bark chips. I don’t use peat moss.
Hi! I got these cutting a few months ago. Last time I put some propagated pothos in leca balls it ended up dying. Should I put these in soil or leca again? If soil, what kind?
Had some stubborn cuttings that didn’t want to start rooting, so I put a few minnows in there from our neighborhood pond… fish poop for the win! 🐠💩

Hey Planta! Can anyone tell me what those white fuzz rings are? These are golden pothos props and I’ve been super excited to plant them, but this worries me. Please tell me it’s not mold.
Hello all! I have a question regarding my Albo. It recently got root rot so i had to chop all the roots :( i have a strong aerial root and i think a couple growth points. But im not sure where to cut to propagate. Anyone know where i should start? I’ve attached a picture :)
In June I got clippings from someone and all have rooted except for the tricolor pictum, paraiso verde, and philo splendid. The pictum was put in water and even started having new leaves, but still no roots so I decided to recut the stem up a node and try again. The paraiso verde was given to me in coco coir, and also has yet to root or put out any sign of new growth. The splendid rooted, I put into soil, and it has completely stopped growing. Any tips? I really really want these plants to root🥲
So my zz leaf I acquired and forgot about for a few weeks as I kind of gave up hope has actually grown a rhizome and started to root 😁
My spider plants has these flowers coming now.. can i propagate it using these?? Pls tell how to propagate spider plant
☀️😊 Friendly reminder that you really don’t need to overthink those succulent leaf props. They know what they’re doing & they’re good at it. These fell off the back of my coppertone & just quietly sat there working until they were found. I sweep them away every once in a while & toss them back in the pot when they look like either of these (just happened upon one of each today lol)
Today I was given a cutting of a Vick’s plant from my physical therapist! Am I able to propagate this in water? She told me I could but when I googled it to get some more info I only saw info about propping in soil. Also, I don’t see a node but am unfamiliar with the plant so maybe I’m just missing it. In the pic you’ll see a couple dark spots but those are just where she had me pluck the bottom leaves
