Day one of propagating. This is my first time propagating so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Pet friendly plants of course especially as my cat loves to “help”

It’s almost time to start transplanting my 100+ plants. Today I started mixing my own soils to save money. The big trash can is filled with my all purpose potting mix and the bin below it is a tropical blend. Can’t wait to transplant all my babies and see how they flourish!

I have a pink fittonia which I got recently that I’m nursing back to health as it was from a Walmart. I want to propagate it soon and I don’t know when or how I should do that. Any advice is appreciated!

I got this propagated little guy at a plant sale a while back…neglected for quite a while. Had in a tiny pot, repotted…I just can’t tell how it’s doing. I’m wondering if I could successfully take it out of the pot and put it back in just water and see if the root system strengthens, then repot? I am seriously such a newborn about plants. Learning as I go. Thanks!

My local grocery store is selling Aloe and Prickly Pear cactus (for cullinary purposes), but in theory could I buy one of each and propagate it?

I was able to get this string of dolphins from my local Home Depot. FYI, I did ask if I could take it. It was laying on the shelf. :)

Just got a golden pothos and want to propagate. Cut two leaves just below the node last week and put them in some water. They’re already starting to look like they’re rotting :( any tips to better propagate?

this is my first time propagating cuttings and now i’m nervous about planting the rooted cutting since i’ve got this far successfully 😅. i already have a string of hearts that is admittedly quite sparse, how would i go about planting the cutting into the pot? i know you can lay string of hearts on top of the soil and they’ll root themselves, would that work in this case?

This is Maria. She is my first attempt at spider plant propagation, and I first started her in water on March 21. Almost 2 weeks later, she has yet to put out roots, and her color is also fading. What can I be doing better to encourage root growth and revive this cutting?

Planted 5 Christia vespertilionis (red butterfly wing) seeds on Jan 17 and today I have my first tiny tiny true leaf on one seedling. Almost gave up nursing this seemingly empty pot of dirt a few times but glad I didn’t. Now to research how to care for it going forward to ensure it keeps thriving.

Earlier today I was looking in my prop box that I set up a few days ago and I noticed some white stingy mold forming on my props that were in sphagnum moss. All the cuttings still look healthy at the moment but I'm not exactly sure what to do. This is my first time attempting a prop bad so any help is appreciated?
