Is it time to propagate or should I leave them alone? There is another one this size and one that just sprouted. If so what do I do?

Hello All, I only have only one long string of my Satin Pathos Argyraeus”. I have remove leaves at the base and circled the string around the pot in the dirt. What do I use to pin the stem down. I am currently using paper clips. 😳
Just planted these water props today! 🤞
Hi - where should I cut?? I’ve got a Dracaena Janet Craig - 3 stalks. It got really tall and started struggling so I lopped the tops off two stalks and they’re sprouting and taking roots nicely. On the 3rd stalk, I’m thinking I want to trim it a lot closer to the base - below the leaf line. But there’s also some aerial roots (?) on there. I’ll probably also subdivide the cutting since it is gonna be big and would probably struggle to stay healthy while growing roots. Where would you comment cutting? Above or below the root thingies?
Hi everyone! I've been propagating African violet leaves in water, and all of them rooted! Here's a picture, do you think it's appropriate to put them in soil now? Thanks! UPD: Growing in water for now, waiting for more robust roots - check out this cute lil pot I found:)
In the winter I started having class plants that are spider plants to be able to give my students a plant at the end of the year. Today I noticed this stem seems to be bending and brown. Will the spiderettes still grow through this? If I have to cut them off would any of them possibly be able to survive? It’s one solid one but I don’t see nodes and 2 just still beginning it seems….
I’ve been propagating these guys (baby sun rose) for a while and I finally got some root growth! The only issue is now the glass is green and covered in algae/slime? I swear this happened overnight but the new root growth makes me think it’s somehow beneficial? I don’t mind the green, but is this something I should worry about and clean? Or can it stay this way and still be healthy for my babies? Thanks for any help!
I’m a desert rat and I’m primarily familiar with cacti and succulents hahaha, but recently I was gifted a beautiful container for propagating, started sticking random plants in there and most of them died, but this one has flourished. I got a plant to propagate once before, but when I transferred it to the pot, it immediately died, so now I’ve just left this bad boy in the propagation tube because I am just too scared. What do I do now? With the last plant I followed Google to a T and I still ended up killing the plant. I would love to get this one potted so that I have space to attempt to propagate more plants.
Okay so this is my first year growing indoors,(well really this last year has been my first year growing most of my plants period, besides the three house plants that I had )so I have a lot of questions I have a sunroom I live in Indiana for the last few years and it's frigid still but I want to start my flowers and veggies indoors my question is I have it pretty humid like in the 70% humidity in there because that's where I keep the humidity loving plants, is that good enough humidity for seedlings? Because I've seen people put like a plastic cover over the container to make it humid, you know what I mean? Also will the Fox farms ocean floor work well for seedlings or should I buy something different? Please and thank you 🙏 and also do you know how I use this Fearleft Myco fungi I just bought to them like how much to use I literally can't find it on the whole entire bag🥴🤷♀️🤣
I got this fishbone cactus cutting about a week ago. I let it callus over for about four days, then put it in water. It’s been three days since I put it in water and when I pulled it out to take a look, it has this goo dripping from it. What should I do? Should I leave it alone? Wash it off and try to let it ‘recallus’ for longer? Help!!!
Okay, so I have this wildly grown Chinese evergreen, given to me along with other… interesting… plants, and I want to chop and prop it so that it can be bushier and healthier but I don’t even know where to start… I’ve tried looking up videos but they’re hard to follow when the plant looks so different. I took a cutting and put it in water with some pothos cuttings but the Chinese evergreen cutting has been in water for months and shows no signs of root growth:(. I’m not sure if I need to cut in a different area of the stem or if it needs to be propagated in soil. Or if I should just chop it and let it regrow and not worry about propagating(& if so where would I cut😅). Please send help 😭😭 Btw- yes I know the support system is crazy, that’s how it was given to me. But it needs a lot of work and I don’t think that’s at the top of the list lol (needs new soil, new pot that actually has drainage holes, still has tiny nursery pot thing around roots….) Ik this part doesn’t have anything to do with propagating but just throwing it out there heh.
I’m so new to plants. It’s so fun! But I broke a leaf off my Thai Constellation vacuuming yesterday and I’m heartbroken. Where should I cut this so I can propogate a new plant? Please screenshot and draw where to cut, I don’t want to hurt it anymore.
Hi there, in the pic below I have some type of Echeveria—I forgot the type at this time. I have been misting daily for two months, however, I went on vacation for the past week and did not. I believe it has not grown past its current state in 2-3 weeks. Are these still propagating and if so, what is the next step? Would I pluck them from their moldy hosts and lay on top of moist soil and continue to mist (my speculation)? Or what?! Thanks!
My very first propagation ever. Grew "roots from roots" in 2 weeks after I accidently broke her off the mother plant. She went in a pot today. We shall see how she does. 🤞🏽
Been water propagating this rubber plant for like three months and this is all that’s grown, how do I know when to plant it? Is there something I can do to speed it up? I’ve been adding pothos propagations and super thrive in and this is all that’s grown
How do I prevent the bottom from getting black like this? Or is it normal?
UPDATE PICS!!! Hi Friends! Pot size question!! I cut 2 props off my original Dracaena Janet Craig (3 stalks one pot). The two props seem to be doing well and roots are starting to take off (and shoots starting to come off the mama stalks!!!) My question to the group is - if I pot these two baby janets together, what size Pot should I start them in? The mama is 3 stalks in a 12 inch. Should I go 12 or smaller to start and repot in 6-12months?
I don't think the photo shows it well, but one of the connecting stems to my baby strawberry begonias have gone black in some areas. Would it be ok to put her in a prop box? I'm mainly concerned that she might not get nutrients from the mother plant anymore.
Hello I have a problem I was moving my philodendron and I accidentally snapped a piece off does anyone know if it can be propagated?
Does anyone know if I can cut the baby yet?.
