I am open to any advice some of the leaves are falling off.. I noticed while looking things up it could be from over crowding but I also just bought this gal a few days ago.. should I propagate? repot? As you can tell I put the leaves that fell off into a pot.. I think I’m doing this right?

I just pruned my large rose bush and didn’t realize that it was still alive. Looked dead. Anyway. How do I propagate the living branches for new bushes? Water? Root powder in soil?? Please help me.

Baby African Violet in progress here! I propagated the big leaf in water and then when the roots were about 2 inches replanted in a mixture of multi-purpose and peat to help hold in some moisture/make the transition out of water less shocking. In only a few weeks these baby leaves came up! Any recommendations on when/if to move to a larger pot, watering schedule, etc? I want to make sure I don’t over or under-water and that it has enough room to grow.

Hard to see but there’s two new shoots on what I’m 98.99% sure is an agleonema stalk that I thought died. I threw it in water with a bunch of pothos cuttings to see if it would come back to life and it has!! There’s one growth point that’s getting closer everyday to making a new leaf and making its own root system. I have no idea when it’ll be ready to move to its own vessel and/or potting up. I think I wanna wait until the other growth points are more mature to see if I’ll be able to have 3 new plants that can survive the shock once transferred.

Hi! I’m new to propagating, and I was looking on Reddit yesterday and saw a comment about blocking the clear portion of the test tube off from the sunlight apparently helping the roots grow quicker. Does anyone know if this is true? I’ll provide an image to show what I mean.

I attempted to propagate these succulent leaves, but haven't had any success. I let the ends callus over for two days before placing them in soil and lightly misting them, but they seem to be deteriorating. I'm also trying to propagate a stem cutting (shown in the first photo). Today, I moved everything to a different pot. The stem on the right is another propagation from the same plant. Do you have any tips for successfully propagating succulent leaves and stems? In the second photo, the stem on the left is the ā€œmother plant.ā€ She had gotten quite leggy (as you can see in the last photo), so I decided to trim her back. Any advice on helping her recover and stay healthy would be appreciated!

Hey all. My peperomia polybotrya has this leaf with two points on it. Does anyone think it would be possible to propagate and get more of this leaf shape? It is the only leaf on my plant like it, so I doubt it would produce more; even in simple leaf or stem propagation. Just thought I'd ask on here before just chopping it off.

Hi plant friends! This succulent grew a little funky, I’m pretty sure I originally had it in a place that didn’t get enough direct sunlight. But I’m wondering if it’s a good idea to try propagating from it. Any advice on the best method?
