While moving my Peperomia obtusifolia ‘marble’ yesterday, a leaf fell off, and while I know it’s a long shot for growth, I decided why not try to propagate? I got a super old seedling tray my mom had lying around and poked holes in it, poked a couple holes in the top of the lid for air flow, filled it with some succulent soil I had laying around, and planted the leaf! I’ll make sure to update you all, though this certainly might end with the leaf just dying. I know the soil isn’t the best, but I didn’t have any moss or perlite around and I honestly wasn’t going to buy more for a leaf that might not make it 🥲 Any advice for this little one’s future care would be very appreciated! Sorry for the super long post

Hey everyone, first propagation of my monstera plant. How do I know when she’s ready to be repotted into her new home?

A storm came through a few nights ago and damaged several plants, so I decided to propagate my damaged coleus. I’m crossing my fingers that they will grow roots. 🤞

I propagated this sweet potato vine and just planted it outside. Sorry about the soil you may can’t see it but it had no roots I put her in just water and covered with a bag in 2 weeks she sprouted roots. It’s my first ever plant to actually get roots from propagating!

I have a luseana umbrella tree that was becoming leggy and tall, so to encourage side growth, I lopped off the top. Should I keep it like this, or do I need to snap off any branches right below the cut to open up nodes? Thanks! (Yes, I have the top in water!)

Propagating monkey masks! They’ve been in water for about 2 weeks now and are starting to grow. I’m questioning my medium as I know the roots will be very weak when I put it in soil. What’s a good medium to use inbetween water and soil? I heard leca is good?

First time propagating I just basically wrapped in all up and put Bobby pins all around is it okay? Last time I tried they all rotted in a closed container

What do y'all do if your pothos water prop starts sprouting roots at two separate nodes? 🫣 Best course of action?? The nodes are a good 3" apart 🫪 For future reference, does this mean that I had too many nodes on my cutting?

Rooted from a corm and now she’s almost 4 inches tall and running out of room — any advice on what I should do next and when? She’s my first corm experiment!! Should I repot her a little lower in this humidifier cup so she has a little more room? Or is it time to get her into a big girl pot? I’m so scared to ruin her!

I’m trying to propagate a zz plant but it’s dying in the water and there’s barely any roots. Is there a better way to propagate it?

Tiny roots. Big future. 💚 These roots are strong, the leaves are thriving, and they’re ready for their next chapter—life in soil. 🌱 Growth doesn’t happen overnight…but when it does, it’s worth every moment of waiting. 😊 #PlantPropagation #RootedInGrowth #PlantWhisperer #HouseplantJourney #NeeCeeLovesPlants

I am trying to grow broccoli from seed. When I moved the seedling to a new pot, it grew out this way. Initially the stalk was quite weak but it’s getting strong. I feel like it’s obviously not a good long term solution to have it hanging over the edge as it will start to get heavy. Do I re-pot and bury the hanging point where it turns?
