Water propagating my monstera albo and these have come up on one of my cuttings - is this normal, are these new root shoots? Or is it bad, kind of looks a bit like mould? Itās still shooting the bud out as you can see just no secondary rootsā¦

Hello all! I got these cucumber sprouts from a friend and have had them growing inside for about a month. They were doing really well until I put them outsideā¦.some leaves are now turning white. Is this sunburn? Iāve heard of acclimating them before putting them outside full timeā¦..I did not do that. Is it too late to do that now? Theyāve been outside now for about a week.
Hi guys I noticed this was breaking. Can I propagate this?
continuation from my last post. this is what happened to the leaves when i cut them and put them in water. any insights are appreciated.
I got these from a friend from her garden, do I just plop them in soil? Or if I need to propagate how would I do that?
Wanted to share this tip that I did a little experiment with. Someone said a drop or two of peroxide into your propagation jar helps keep algae from growing. Well sure enough it works!
Hey all, just wanted to stop in and say hi. Show off my propagation greenhouse.
Iāve had these heartleaf philodendron in water for over a month and iām not seeing any roots. I have them under a grow light and I change the water (filtered) weekly. Anyone know what the problem could be? Am I just being impatient? I was under the impression theyāre supposed to root up pretty quickly.
Had this monstera cutting since December, i moved it to a smaller jar since it was getting root rot when it was too submerged in water, now shes got i would say a decent amount of roots and i feel like shes ready to be moved, is it better to move to leca or soil?? and how do i not shock her since shes been only living off water and fertilizer and zero substratešš¼š©ŗ halp!
My current prop tray. š I had fun.š I had a migraine the other day and this was soothing.ā¤ļø Currently have Anacampseros Sunrise Verigata, Perle Von Nurnburg, Donkeyās Tail, Ghost Plant, Grapetoveria Bashful, Grapetopetalum Bella, and some leaves from the last of my great grandmotherās sempervivum. The last ones probably wonāt propagate, because Iāve heard itās something like 1 in 100 for sempervivum to propagate from leaves. But, a freak accident took us down to one last rosette (itās doing great!) so Iāve tried to propagate every leaf Iāve ever pulled off just incase.š¤ I should be near 100 at this point so maybe Iāll get a pup soon? The last plant will hopefully put out pups this year so it wonāt matter.š And disclaimer, no plants were harmed in the making of this prop tray. 𤣠These are leaves removed in the up potting of the plants to make room for deeper roots. Or they just got knocked off by accident when handling a plant. There are no naked plants running around with no leaves I promise .š
Second snake plant propagation! Iām planning on giving this to my Mom for motherās day, does anyone have any thoughts on when this might start producing pups?
i received scindapsus cuttings from a friend and when i put the propagations in water they started wilting and turning black. the only mistake i can think of is i unknowingly used my water that had my liquid fertilizer mixed in but switched it to normal distilled water later in the day. any ideas of how else this can happen? i have cuttings from other plans she gave me and only a few turned black and the rest are fine
this guy had lots of roots after letting it grow in water for a month or so, so i planted him, but a couple of the leaves began to drop. the drooping leaves are yellow, red, and soft. i donāt think itās an issue with the light because the middle leaves look fine. the leaves had begun to droop a bit while it was in water, so i thought i should plant it because i assumed it wasnāt getting the nutrients it needed from just water or something like that. could it just be stress from repotting? any advice would be great š
I want my spider plant to start propagating, thereās a bunch of spider plants in there but they seem to be happy, I donāt know what to do
Upon my 4 year olds request we planted a clementine seed he found when eating one on the 10th April. Weāve been patient and itās now sprouted!! Who knows how far weāll get it but Iām very excited!!
Interested in tips for propagating this rose bush. I think it might be āEden Heirloom Roseā or āSpirit of Freedomā but not 100% sure. Iāve only been successful once out of about 5 attempts at propagating roses from a cutting (using honey) but it was from a different bush. Thereās also new growth around the bush that I plan on digging up and transferring to pots so any tips on care for those? Basically any tips are welcome. Thank you :)
How would I go about propagating this plant?!
Would it be ok to take a cutting from sphagnum moss, dip it in rooting powder, and transfer it to water propagation instead? I got this philodendron Florida ghost cutting for free, because this one has been in sphagnum moss for about a month and hasnāt rooted. The nodes donāt look super promising to me, but Iām wondering if thereās some way I can save it. Do yāall think it would help to add rooting powder and transfer to water? Keep it in the sphagnum moss? What would you do? (I also got 2 other cuttings that are rooted and have new growth, so itās not the end of the world if I canāt save it!)
I have been propagating a monsters albo cutting in water for awhile and itās been growing some pretty solid roots! Iām just wondering if it is ready to be transferred to soil? Not sure how many roots should be growing but currently the ones showing are at least 3-4 inches long.
Trying to make babiesā¦. Does anyone know how long it takes for roots?
