You know what will provide a proper dose of serotonin? Coming home to see your basil seedlings are starting to pop up! This is my first time trying to sow using a plain ole potting mix, and seeds from a packet (previously used âsmart gardenâ kits) Do you have any advice on soil mixes youâve used that you like, or any recommendations for ratios when mixing your own? Also, would love to hear about your favorite plants to grow from seeds! I plan to sow again soon and would like to experiment with various seeds and setups ^_^

Hi everyone! I propagated this umbrella tree cutting & planted it in some soil about a month & a half ago & the roots are already popping out of the bottom of the pot. Should I repot her again? Or leave her for a while? Hopefully this is the right group for this question! đ
So, I managed to break off 2 pieces of Caliope. I stuck them in water when I did it about a week ago, and although new roots were showing practically overnight, they now look like this⊠Is that normal?? đ€·đ»ââïž
Rooted this begonia cutting in water. Just potted it in a plastic pot yesterday. Looking happy this morning. It will be going outdoors. Any suggestions for space it will like? I live in a zone 9.

Hello! Are dark ends on roots normal? I noticed a few of my cuttings have these dark little ends at the root. I felt to see if they were squishy but didnât seem so. Is it rot?

Hello all .. so Iâm thinking of propagating my monstera as itâs starting to yellow and black spot along with aerial roots⊠can someone tell me once I cut under a node if this needs to sit out for a bit or if immediately submerge to water ( for water planting ) or in some perlite
Got this cutting at a swap. I super glued the end and put her in leca semi hydro set up. Is this a root starting?
happy to say my little prop jar bouquet is rooting in perlite, this wonât be a permanent fixture but for the time being itâll stay like this bc it looks pretty
3 days in this journey of restoring a friends money tree from scratch and I see it starting to cal-aceđđŒ
My Alocasia corm came on the mail super fast đ€đš now to get perlite today to start propping
Hi everyone, I just found out the incredibly hard way that my monstera did in fact have root rot. This is all thatâs left. Is there any way i Could save this by putting it in water/making a cutting? Or is it too late for my OG plant. This was the first plant I ever bought that started me off on my journey so a little sad here, however its sister from the same nursery pot is still thriving. But I named them Mickey and Minnie, I will be heartbroken if we lose Mickeyđ Thanks in advance. Let me down gently is thereâs no coming backđđđ»
Hi, Iâve had this cebu blue cutting in water for a little over a year now. I tried to transfer a second cutting of this plant but killed it. Are there any tips? Should I cut it anywhere to promote more growth?
Found these cute mushroom vases at target. I think theyâd be great for water propagations.
Does anyone have any experience/tips for air layering? Iâve water propagated plenty of times, but only just heard of this method when researching what to do about my leggy chinese evergreen. From what Iâve seen it seems like you pretty much just keep moist soil on top of the nodes until roots start to come out, is this correct or am i oversimplifying? Any and all advice would be appreciated, thanks.
Hello! Very new to propagating and a friend gave me this Monstera Albo cutting that I really donât want to ruin. Itâs growing something but Iâm not seeing any roots other than one aerial root it has towards one end⊠Iâm hoping itâs a good sign that itâs growing something but do I just keep leaving it alone like this? At what point should I hope to see some roots? Thanks so much for the help!
So Iâve been propagating this alternanthera. the roots grew out to about an inch and havenât gotten longer in at least a month. Any tips or is this normal?
