so many little sprouts from this one corm! (,: an alocasia jacklyn!
Had this pothos propigating in the window since january 15th does anyone know why it isnt putting out roots?
I put this scindapsus (I think that’s how it’s spelled?) that accidentally fell off when I was repotting into this holder thing I have with water like 3ish weeks ago, I checked back today and it’s growing roots and stuff! Just a little though, I was wondering if there was anything I should do to encourage it more? Am I doing this right? Haha 🤣 was not expecting root growth and stuff tbh
Hello! New to propagating & I’m wondering if this guy is ready for a pot yet? Thanks 😊
Can I propagate this in soil?? If so, what are the best tips and tricks?? I noticed a dead leaf in my golden pothos so I plucked it out and this is what it was attached to! No roots….yet. But isn’t that a viable node 👀👀
Grew this little man from just a sad node, it’s roots had all died off and it’s leaves were all gone, so I plopped him in my prop box and he pushed out his first leaf a few weeks ago and had rooted pretty well so I decided to get him into a little cup with some holes so he can finally get some plant food!
lil baby
I have tried quite a few times to propagate my pothos, but every time i try nothing happens. i make sure to snip at the nodes, and will keep the jar in a bright window, but nothing grows. what will help? also, what kind of timeline should i be expecting on the growth?
Hi fellow plant parents! I chopped the top off my beloved fiddle before moving and it looks like it might be ready to pot soon! Any tips and thoughts on leca v. soil are so welcome!
Hey! I have this absolutely beautiful wandering jew that is over 4 feet long. it is my absolute favorite plant and i would love to prop it! i just have no clue how. about two weeks ago a small part fell off when i was pulling off some dead leaves and it looked like it had some little nodes on it so i put some rooting hormone on it and stuck it in some soil. the bit that was in the soil almost immediately died, but the rest is still a vibrant green. any suggestions on what i should do?
Just received these two very rare cuttings of Philodendron Strawberry Shake and Scindapsus Mayari Variegated. They are so gorgeous! Wish me luck!
Does anyone know if you can propagate a fishbone prayer plant from a leaf cutting? I’m not quite sure how to propagate it.
Just wanted to share something cool my tri-color tradescantia is doing! I’m propagating this cutting I got from a coworker and a leaf popped up underneath the water! It keeps getting bigger and I’ve never seen a plant do this while being propagated. Maybe I’m just still new to it, but if someone has an explanation that’d be appreciated :)
Had some of these clear boxes and thought I’d make little prop boxes for some wet sticks. Only had extra sphagnum peat moss on hand so using that and we’ll see how it goes. They’re not super tall so I’m making sure to “burp” them every day for a few minutes to help with air flow. Got some monstera standleyana, Phil. micans, silver stripe, scin. treubii moonlight, krimson princess, and satin pothos in there.
Thank you guys for the input… since i have a lotta african mask corms i’m gonna try this experiment to see which works fastest : sphagnum, perlite, leca, pon, fluval stratum last one is classic water, then covering them with plastic cups to create humidity ! lets see how it goes…🤣 which substrate is the ultimate alocasia propagator🌱🌱🌱
Has anyone had any luck cross-pollinating peperomias? I have some inflorescences and can’t find much literature. Thanks!
I repotted my alocasia african mask in the middle of the night, et voila harvested so many corms! i’m excited to grow these babies! I’ve been watching so many videos on how to grow them, which one has been foolproof for you guys? appreciate in advance!
My porcelain jade has this one long strand and I’m wanting to try prop it. I started this plant from a single leaf that I got from my husband’s grandma a few years ago. Do I chop the vine and prop that? Or take a leaf and try it that way? I’m scared because I don’t want to hurt her! She’s my first and most special plant baby!
Propagating my dragon tree. I know from previous attempts the cuttings will take off but are the roots/base worth my time? Will it take off? I hated doing this but it was too tall and outgrew my house.
I put a spider plant clipping into soil (from a water prop) a couple months ago and it’s grown roots like crazy but very little leaf growth. Roots are growing out the drainage holes and seem pretty crowded at the bottom of the pot but it seems fast to repot it after it’s only been in soil for 2 months or so. Any suggestions on what I should do?
