I recently got this monstera from a friend to propagate it. The stem is tall and bare and the leaves are concentrated at the top. Iâm thinking of cutting the stem up around the nodes to propagate it. There are some nodes that have aerial roots coming off (as seen in picture).
My question is can I put that bit of stem with root coming off in soil? Or should I leave the aerial roots out of the soil?

My sister cut me a piece of her golden pothos to propagate. She had it since 1994. It was my motherâs and it must have been over 10 ft tall or more. So Iâm propagating mine. So far so good. She is so good with plants and Iâm just ok. But Iâm proud of this one.

busy morning! it was time to repot some of my successful propagations :)
So happy about my prop! The stem/leaf in the back that the arrow is pointed to is a freshly opened leaf from a brand new shoot. And the little red circle is highlighting a second new shoot coming from the soil that i just noticed today. It's so exciting for a rooted cutting to start branching out like this! I only put him in soil a few weeks ago đ„č

I have never had luck with inch plants, but Iâve done a lot of research and have finally learned enough to keep one alive! This cutting I did 3 weeks ago it had a couple small roots (I knocked the pot over and broke it off of the mother) so I dipped it in rooting hormone and stuck it in a little plastic pot filled with seed started and this morning I woke to this sweet sightâŠA flower!!! It even closes at night! đ

After several aborted ones, I finally get some pollinated pumpkins.

my favorite thing to do is reuse cans, jars or tubs for my propagations! gives my space more of a color pop (and is SO cute) and I donât have to buy more glass jars. :)

Does anyone have pics of their successful props as full-fledged, bushy plants?? I would love to see pics for inspiration. The propgated plants i have and see are like a single leggy stem lol. Share your happiest prop and say how long it took to get where it's at now! đ±

Hi there! Iâm a propagation newbie & have a question about the best method to propagate string of dolphins. An entire string fell off a healthy plant while I was moving it and I would love to propagate it (if possible)! I appreciate any and all advice âșïžđđŹ

Just beginning my plant journey. Getting myself organized. Going to add another shelf to the right side with more lights and expand.

So, I have 2 cuttings from a Golden Pothos that have been soaking in water for a couple of months without any roots growing. Both cuttings seem happy and are growing leaves but no roots.
Do I just try planting them and hope they live or give up?

I went to a propagation class a few months ago and these two begonias have just sprouted leaves! They are still in a clear takeout container with air holes. What's next? How long do I wait before repotting them?
