Made the chop to stop rot getting any further up the plants stem now planning on repotting and just looking for any advise as I only usually propagate from indervidual leaves. Should I do water only first for this type of cutting? How far should I pot into soil if I do direct into soil?
Backstory: Trying to resuscitate a mature jadeplant for my mum it was healthy at the beginning of this year very full leaves then when she moved house it was deteriorating. She's never used a drainage pot so im pretty sure the soil got water logged post drying out in the house move and started rotting from the root up. Its also had a history of gnats so could have been todo with that also.

Hey, just remembered I had this propagating. I took this cutting off my mums plant and I think I done something wrong. I watched a tutorial on how to cut and I’ve cut right above a node. Do I need to put more water? Do I need to cut some of the leaves? Did I fail and have to do it again?

[ BURGUNDY FICUS ELASTICA ]
I cut my ficus in the end of June. My goal was to make it grow bushier instead of taller. I cut the top part right under 2 different nodes, let both cuttings callous for 24h and then put them in water until they made roots. Once the roots were about 2" long and started branching out, I stuck the cuttings back in the same pot as the mother plant. New leaves are growing everywhere so it's definitely bushier and the branches from the cuttings got a to y bit longer as well.
My questions are :
- The new leaves have been growing very slowly compared to when other leaves grew before cutting it and they are smaller as well.
- Should I repot all 3 stems (mother + 2 new ones) into a bigger pot ?
- What type of light have your ficus elasticas been thriving in ? Because I'm confused from everything I've been reading on the internet and on the app.
All your tips to help me achieve my goal are welcome.

First attempt at propagating, waited a month to check and couldn’t wait any longer.
On the right is a Persian Lime cutting from a new plant I got at the store and the left is a cutting from a neighbor’s peach tree branch that broke off during a storm.

So this little plant is confusing me. I cleaned the roots and stem because the roots are brown, and yet they’re growing little white roots on the sides? I’ve had this plantling since July 2nd (my birthday) and it hasn’t grown another leaf yet. I think it keeps TRYING to grow another leaf but it keeps rotting at the top and trying again. I’m just not sure, I’ve never propagated before.

I’ve had some begonia nodes in moss for about 6 weeks, finally sprouting but no sign of roots. How much longer should I wait before putting them in soil?
