Recently propagated my pothos for the first time. The cuttings have been in water for 2 weeks now. How long should I wait for the roots to get before potting in soil? Do I have too many cuttings in the glasses (15-20)? Thanks.

I gave my scindapsus a much needed haircut and am going to try and propagate. Did I bundle the node pieces correctly and do I just drop them in water and let them root?

Hey yâall! About a month ago I asked for some help with propagating this guy and I wanted to share an update and thank you all! I wasnât able to get as many cuttings as I wanted but the ones I did take are doing super well (I think but correct me if they look wonky)! Iâve got a couple of 2 inch roots on some and some new shoots starting to form on all of them! When do you think itâs appropriate to plant them? I donât want to rush it but also Iâm getting eager because Iâve never had this success in propagations before :)

Good morning all! I propagate in water and am looking for any suggestions for a water-soluble root hormone. I would love to transition to a FoxFarm fertilizer in general, but if anyone prefers a different brand I would really like to try it. Currently I use the Bonide Rooting Powder (the plants do well with it) but for a cleaner look, I thought I should look into switching to a liquid solution. Thanks in advance!

After having success propagating a few cuttings from this dieffenbachia, that has gone from a thriving bushy plant to a spindly plant with much smaller leaves. I decided to do a heavy pruning. Using my antique milk bottles for propagating the cuttings, and already seeing the plant perk up after pruning and repotting in the same pot. This time Iâm keeping the plant closer to the window, but with a sheer to diffuse the light (west facing window). Hopefully it will reach less but not get sunburned by the afternoon sun.
