Hi! Got this cherry blossom seed kit as a gift from a friend. However, reviews online say nobody has been able to get them to germinate with the suggested guide (peeling, freezing for 30 days, greenhouse in a bottle, etc.) , but by just planting them in potting soil and watering as you would any other seed. Suggestions? TIA!!!

I took this new shoot off of our lilac bush a few weeks ago. At first I didn’t think it was going to make it as the original leaves died off but then it grew these new leaves. My issue is that most of new leaves look nothing like the original; there is one little stem that does so Im highly confused! Last picture is the mother plant; a Bloomerang Lilac, first is of the leaves that look nothing like the original, including the leaf pattern and the second photo is the one leaf set that looks like the original lilac bush.

Just planted four of these. How did I do? Succulent soil, sticks and rocks on bottom, lots of drain holes, thanks in advance for any advice !

I’ve got some healthy roots establishing in water and some seem ready to transfer to another medium. It’s my first time and I’m petrified of losing them all in the process. Mostly pothos (snow queen and marble queen), a couple red maranta and peperomia raindrop. Any tips or tricks? Thank you in advance!! 🪴🌱💕

My daughters and I rescued a clearance rack mixed pot and found this little orange stowaway. I know it’s a moon cactus… but can I propagate from just the top like this? (There is no moon cactus in the mixed pot)

How long should I wait to separate this philodendron pup? Should it go right into soil or water?

Hello, (new plant mom) so I have these 2 leaves I’ve been trying to propagate and root, I’ve had them under a grow light ever since and it’s been about 3-4 weeks or more since I’ve placed them in water still nothing, they are still alive, any advice or tips to get them to root faster? Thanks!

Hello! I am new to the plant world and was given this starter kit for forget me nots and I planted the seeds about a week ago. I’ve got these little sprouts and I don’t want to kill them, any advice to keep them growing? I’m in an office with no windows but I have a led grow light that has a timer of 8/10/12 hours on it. I also have a few other plants in here as well. All brand new to me. But I want this little guy to succeed.

Is it possible to propagate a rotted orchid through the healthy roots in its potting medium??
My friend gave me her orchid (phaleonopsis) and even though I told her I’ve had very little experience with orchids, she insisted I take it. Suffice it to say I’ve given it root rot. I’m attempting to propagate from the leaves of the plant because they had some stem attached (I don’t know if it will be enough, but I thought I’d try). There are still some healthy roots and I was wondering if it was possible to propagate with those? I’ve seen information on propagating with aerial roots or keikeis, but all that I have are the ones that were in the potting medium. Would this be possible?

Separated this pretty girl from a much bigger peace lily three days ago, and she’s not doing well. I’m totally new at taking care of plants and not sure what to do. Advice appreciated!

Hey y’all! Got a new plant yesterday- a frizzle sizzle :) she’s very cute. I put her in my bathroom window since it gets the most light, and my brother messed with it and ripped up a bunch of the leaves (had six, now has three). This is the only undamaged leaf that fully came off. I can’t find anything online about propagating this plant. It grows from a bulb. Would I be able to root this in water to propagate it? Or should I just throw it out?

hello i received this silver spotted begonia from my dad and grandpa a few months ago, after many attempts at propagating the leaves i can’t get any roots. this plant is probably almost as old as i am and it just feels too tall to support its self as you can see from the support systems they had put in, i’m not sure what to do. would i have better luck cutting straight from the stem? and why is this one so tall with so little leaves?

Please help! My first time planting a grown strawberry plant. When repotting I noticed it is not a single plant but many bound together with a rubber band. Do I leave as is or do I need to separate them?
