Is it possible to propagate a rotted orchid through the healthy roots in its potting medium?? My friend gave me her orchid (phaleonopsis) and even though I told her Iāve had very little experience with orchids, she insisted I take it. Suffice it to say Iāve given it root rot. Iām attempting to propagate from the leaves of the plant because they had some stem attached (I donāt know if it will be enough, but I thought Iād try). There are still some healthy roots and I was wondering if it was possible to propagate with those? Iāve seen information on propagating with aerial roots or keikeis, but all that I have are the ones that were in the potting medium. Would this be possible?
Separated this pretty girl from a much bigger peace lily three days ago, and sheās not doing well. Iām totally new at taking care of plants and not sure what to do. Advice appreciated!
I have some snake plant cuttings in water and in a south facing window for 2 weeks now⦠but no sign of any roots. Has anyone had any luck propagating a snake plant?
i got this plant almost a year ago and it is doing amazing! i havenāt seen much on this plant i didnāt even know what it was until i looked it up. does anyone know how to propagate it? or if you even can?
Hi. :) Can anyone tell me if I can save these new guys before letting go of this umbrella tree? Where would cut it?
Hey yāall! Got a new plant yesterday- a frizzle sizzle :) sheās very cute. I put her in my bathroom window since it gets the most light, and my brother messed with it and ripped up a bunch of the leaves (had six, now has three). This is the only undamaged leaf that fully came off. I canāt find anything online about propagating this plant. It grows from a bulb. Would I be able to root this in water to propagate it? Or should I just throw it out?
hello i received this silver spotted begonia from my dad and grandpa a few months ago, after many attempts at propagating the leaves i canāt get any roots. this plant is probably almost as old as i am and it just feels too tall to support its self as you can see from the support systems they had put in, iām not sure what to do. would i have better luck cutting straight from the stem? and why is this one so tall with so little leaves?
Please help! My first time planting a grown strawberry plant. When repotting I noticed it is not a single plant but many bound together with a rubber band. Do I leave as is or do I need to separate them?
Just got this string of turtles any tops for water propagation?
i was given a propagation of my friendās rex begonia. sheās been in water for about five days, and iām starting to wonder when sheāll grow roots. iāve included a picture of what i thought was the start of a root, but now iām not sure. iām keeping her in a dome to up the humidity, will that make her root faster? sheās in an east facing window that gets about 4-6 hours of sunlight per day.
I was gifted this begonia. It has been in this container for a few weeks and itās finally rooting. How long do I wait to transplant it in soil? Also, the stem looks too long. Can I trim it down without affecting it? This is my first begonia.
