What should I do??? My devils Ivy snapped off last week, so I’m propagating the top piece in water. It’s taking root so yay!! But now I’m not sure what to do with this stem… advice? Cut it or leave it??
Found a fallen Peperomia leaf at Home Depot! 💚❤️ Am gonna try propping it in soil. Any guesses to what it could be?
I’m propagating this Chinese Evergreen! How long do the roots need to be before I can plant it?
reused these ordinary serum bottles for my water propagations , also one empty glass cleaner bottle
i’ve been trying to propagate this string of pearls for about a month but nothing has happened. i’ve never owned or propagated a string of pearls, any sort of input is appreciated! i don’t want to give up on it
Hey does anyone know much about propagating a string of hearts plant? Also does anyone know how to make a string of heart plant more full? I have two really long strands and would love my plant to look more full around the pot.
Has anyone propagated a monstera cutting without a node?
These Tradescantia have been nothing but trouble. Originally got them in a too-small plastic pot with drainage, and repotted due to the roots coming out the bottom holes. Put into a slightly larger terra-cotta pot with drainage, but they quickly developed root rot. Removed them and the effected roots, repotted with more drainage, same thing. Had to take cuttings and root them in water, but same thing keeps happening, no matter the soil type, pot, or drainage. Trying LECA w/ Liquid dirt as a last attempt, but I’m not confident on them. Any tips?
My snake plant had babies! I didn’t expect this EDIT: I learned a fun fact, snake babies are actually called “pups” 🐶
I’m water propagating monstera adansonii cuttings & am wondering if I should split this into two cuttings? Not sure if that would be beneficial.
I think my spider plant is trying to escape its pot. It looks happy and healthy and thriving and at first I thought it was just because it needed repotting deeper in a bigger pot and was root bound in its current one but I’ve done that it’s in a bigger pot but it’s roots are growing outward to the sky! Do spider plants climb? are these aerial roots?
Hey! So I have a boat lily that was getting bare in the middle and overgrown. I cut it all the way down and repotted the root ball then dipped all the cuttings in root hormone and potted up into 4 other pots! My question is, when should I water the cuttings and should I wait any certain amount of time before putting them back in pretty direct sunlight? Any experienced help appreciated!
Hey, a couple months ago I planted this propagated plant for a club. Could anybody tell me what type it is and when I need to switch it to a bigger pot. It used to have the flower but it fell of a couple weeks after I potted it.
My first time regretting a chop and prop 🥲 I’m sure it’ll grow and I’ll have two beautiful plants, but I didn’t realize how much I loved this guy being tall and majestic. I feel like I got a dramatic haircut that I don’t like 😭😂 My plant clippers had been missing for almost three weeks and I finally found them. I went over and immediately started the chops I’d been planning without thinking enough 😅
Not technically propagating, but maybe I should be! My jade plant is making aerial roots?! Is this normal?
I’ve been working on these heart leaf babies for a couple weeks. I got them to root in water so I transferred them to soil 2 weeks ago. The leaves are doing good except in is starting to turn yellow. Should I cut it off or let it keep yellowing?
I propagated my Philodendron a few weeks ago and wondering if I will grow back soon. I know it should but it’s been super leggy.
The picture on the right is my mama haworthia. Right next to the mama on the left, you can see a few leaves. Yup, that is (or was) her pup. When examining the pup, I accidentally broke it but it just happened to snap in the perfect spot! I got some succulent soil, added some rooting horomone, and voila! I hope she’ll grow to be big and strong just like her mama! The broken pup will hopefully grow back so I can propagate her again :) Wish these sweet babies luck and hope that they have a long happy life!
🌻🌻🌻 Any sunflower pointers welcome! Friend gave me some sunflower (seedlings) to plant and I just potted them. I’m in sunny Colorado!
