I have numerous annuals in a shade bed in my front yard that I have decided to try and propagate from cuttings. In the spring I will harden them and replace this yearâs (now dead) plants with the propagations. So far I have Coleus, Angel Wings and Creeping Jenny that Iâm working with to return to the garden. Since I am new to this I am wondering if I should be adding plant food to the water? I have an aero garden that I have used for herbs and still have plant food so am wondering if it would be beneficial?

These three recycled containers have cuttings that are slightly damaged or broken stems. The Dragonâs Tail was overgrown. It got a sunburn and was chewed by a caterpillar. đ
The fourth cutting is a Hoya Deykeae in sphagnum moss that I bought in February on Etsy. It finally put out new leaves! I realized the sphagnum moss was covering the leaf node. The cutting was putting out new growth, but, they rotted in the wet moss before I could see them. So, I cleared the moss, kept the stem/node area dry and placed it on a sunny northeast window. A new leaf fully formed and itâs beautiful! đ

Does anyone know how to regrow roots on a dragon tree?

I have no clue. I have it in moss but I feel itâs not doing as well as it could. Is solid a better option for propagation?

I just notched my Thai constellation last night and I was wondering what I should do while the notch heals?
After I initially notched it, I added a little hydrogen peroxide to the wound, then maybe 7 hours later before I went to bed, and a little more this morning. I figured that was probably a good thing... Iâm adding a very small amount to the wound, like a drop, so I donât harm it.
I worry I wonât heal the notch correctly and end up rotting it or have to end up chopping it and start over.
Lmk!

My last round of props did so well I had to try it again. Last round was the maranta and the monstera Thai constellation, this round is a lot of pothosâ and a top cutting from my pink princess philodendron. All cuttings dipped in rooting powder and then set for 2 hours before putting in water đ±đ§

I found all of these little guys in my parlor palmâŠ. Do you use these to propagate? Iâve never owned one before. Some of them have roots growing from them. If so, how do you propagate them?

Anyone know what this is? Itâs a random bulb I found in my cabinet. Iâve had it in water and the yellow leaves turned green and Iâm about to put it up cause the bulb is getting squishy but I have no clue what it could be!

Is this (red circle) a node on my prayer plant? Sheâs getting a little leggy/lopsided and awkward so I want to propagate, but Iâm scared of just chopping a leaf off.

It finally happened! I have roots on my snake plant cuttings! đ For this second go around I added a splash of hydrogen peroxide to the water and Iâm gonna say that it definitely helped!

Hey guys. I hope everyone is well.
I am propagating my golden pothos and this leaf was fully green when I put it in the water, but now it is yellowing and browning. But itâs also actively growing a root while it is getting more of the yellow/brown coloration.
I am confused as to what to do here. Do I throw it out or is there still hope for it? I am fairly new to plants so Iâm still learning how to diagnose and treat issues. I do have 3 other cuttings that are doing well so if this one doesnât survive I have others.

I really want to propagate my Peperomia, do you guys think it is the right time to do it?

What do I do with the baby? If I just let it go, will it get too crowded?

How do I propagate a bunny ears cactus?

My spider plant grew some seed pods and they recently opened, can anyone give me advice for how to grow them? Should I just stick them straight into soil or germinate first?

I havenât really grown anything from seed before. A friend got me a Bonsai starter kit with seeds and a soil puck. The instructions said to soak the seeds for 18-24 hrs before planting them, and to take the seeds that sunk to the bottom of the bowl. Unfortunately I didnât get around to planting the seeds after soaking them, and itâs been a few weeks since I did that. Have I ruined these seeds by soaking them and not planting them the next day? If not, do I need to soak them again before I plant them?

Hi everyone! I need a little help with my zebra succulent. It has a new plant growth on its vine, which I didnât know couldnât happen! How do I propagate this? Much thanks in advance!

Hey yâall so I found this leaf behind my counter with what to me looks like a node. I donât know how many days it was back there or how it fell off but I decided to put it in water to see if itâll root. The only thing is that the leaf is looking a lil well âŠ.. Sad and wrinkly . it was a lot worse when I found it. So I have a lil hope for it, but Iâm new to this and naive. Yâall think itâll root?
