Hey y’all! Just planted some pathos propagations. This will be my second attempt. The previous attempt ended in root rot and the only vine that stayed alive was the longer, more mature one. I would love some tips on how often I should water this. I follow the watering routine for my pathos by the Planta guidance. But for cuttings, should I be watering it any differently?

I usually pop my propagations in water until they have some roots before I plant them. I have had success doing it straight in the soil, but more so with water first.

Yes, 100%! These were first in water and built 4-5 inch roots. But have you had to adjust water schedule after potting the rooted cuttings in soil? Or do you just go on as usual with watering it

Nope, I water as per usual! If you also watch the leaves, it will tell you when it wants water. They’ll start to curl under at the tips and edges. I wouldn’t water solely based on that though because that may let it stress more than necessary. I fall off the water wagon occasionally and have noticed this. Even when I’ve neglected them, my satin pothos and heart leaf philodendron still have done great. So maybe lean toward watering less rather than too often.
