Ethics check!!! I was at the grocery store (large chain) and there was a pretty decent sized succulent that had broken off from its base. I debated putting it in my purse bc I know it will just get thrown away but then I got self conscious because it’s right by the entrance door and cameras….. stealing or saving?!?
oh i would so steal it. they’re not gonna do anything with it if i didn’t, and it’s not like im stealing a product that have for purchase.

You should ask an employee before taking it. Then, it is no longer stolen. Btw, Planta’s policy does not allow posts about the plant you “prop-lifted.” I assume the discussions on the ethics of prop-lifting is acceptable. I don’t really know. I’m not part of this app’s staff.

I always find the same plant and stuff the broken piece back in the soil. That way it gets a chance at life and the next person has no guilt 🤣

2 Me gustaYep just ask an employee (in the garden section if they have one). Different stores have different policies on that, but most of the time they'll allow it. Also you can ask the employees when they throw out unsold or half dead plants as they clear out for new stock and get either freebies or significant discounts when they clear out what they normally have to write off as waste
